MITCHELL- A neatly organized screen of men’s clothing is located inside Megan Sabers ‘ city boutique.

The goal is to create a show that may capture customers off guard. Sabers opened her Main Street shop, which has entirely sold children’s clothing and accessories for more than ten years, in early November.

Sabers observed the “huge void” it left in the neighborhood after Mitchell lost Michael’s Toggery, a long-standing Main Street company that was one of only few in town to sell men ”S attire, in 2021.

” People were actually hitting me hard to put people’s clothes when Michael closed.” Simply put, Sabers said,” We did n’t have many options for men’s clothing, especially dress clothes.”

Prior to Michael’s Toggery closing, Sabers received calls asking her to offer male clothing, but the other small business owner claimed that she did n’t want to directly compete with the establishment that had been a downtown staple since 1975. Weapons decided it was time to launch a new line of products at her 217 N. Main St. creating when Lee and Renee Michael retired from business after 48 times.

Early in November, Sabers made another significant shift to her company as a result of her decision to sell men’s clothes. On November 1, Scimitars changed the store’s name from Tickled Pink to The Vault Clothing Company.

Since the day we moved into the tower, I had wanted to change the company’s brand. I was constantly anxious to build the brand Tickled Pink because I had invested so much money in it. The name had to shift from Tickled Pink when I made the decision to sell men’s clothes. Men’s clothing and Tickeled Pink do n’t go together, according to Sabers.

The name change was made to honor the distinctive structure that has housed Weapons ‘ Main Street shops since 2014 and to reflect the new selection of men’s merchandise being offered in the store.

The large, marble-pillared structure is one of Mitchell’s oldest structures and was constructed in 1905. The structure once housed a bank in its earlier decades. Inside Weapons ‘ store, you can see remnants of the old banks, including the vaults where wealth was kept. The name of the company then reflects the building’s rich past.

” This structure is awesome. When customers shop around, they frequently leave comments, so I wanted to find a way to integrate it into the company, according to Sabers.

Sabers has n’t seen any negative effects since changing the name and introducing new products, despite the fact that name changes can be a scary move due to the possibility of customers associating the business with their familiar name.

Weapons said the time is right to welcomed the changes today in hopes of introducing customers to the new-look shop with the holiday shopping season in full swing and Small Business Saturday taking area.

Dedicated to keeping Main Street clean

Sabers has observed the city hall change over the course of the previous 12 years of running her Main Street organization.

More shops have turned black, and a number of old, neglected properties have collapsed. The difficulties Mitchell’s Main Street has encountered are not unusual; in fact, the popularity of online shopping has caused more smaller companies to close down all over the country.

Weapons has managed to adapt despite the difficulty of competing with the virtual market. Having a site is one strategy that has assisted her company in evolving over time.

She hopes that Mitchell’s Main Street will inspire other young business owners to jump into a walk.

” Our Main Street needs to be kept alive. She expressed her hope that more people would realize how feasible it is to operate a small business in this location.

Weapons is optimistic about the future despite the difficulties Main Street has faced over the past few years due to some decisions being made by city building users.

She referred to John Adamo’s most recent building renovation projects, which he is in the process of finishing at the Western on Main building and the former Woolworth building, as saying,” The guy who is renovating the ( Western On Main ) building into apartments and planning to open a restaurant is one example of giddy project that will really help Main Street and business down here.”
